The Predator for '99-04 Lightning / 2002-04 Harley (part no. U7158) is a state-of-the art, high performance tuning flash programmer in a sleek handheld design. Once connected to the vehicle, the Predators internal computer recognizes the vehicles PCM and automatically picks the proper tuning files designed specifically for that PCM. Inside the Predator's memory are the actual tuning files that optimize spark timing and air/fuel ratio curves. The transmission parameters are remapped to improve the shift characteristics such as shift firmness and shift points. Unlike other 'tuners', DiabloSport's programming is performed in very small increments throughout the entire RPM range, for a smoother, wider and a more predictable power delivery. DiabloSport engineers spend many hours on the dyno, street and track to ensure the tunes provided with the Predator are the best they can be.

The Predator was created with one thing in mind, POWER! Average power gains are in 20-30 RWHP range. The Predators additional power makes itself noticeable immediately with an increase in power that starts in the low RPMs and builds into a frenzy at the high RPMs. (If used in combination with our PowerPulley, power gains of about 40-50 RWHP can be achieved).

87 octane: tune for 87 octane and stock pulley. Pulley 87 octane: tune for 87 octane and pulley, max 13-14psi. 90mm MAF 87 octane: tune for 87 octane, calibrated for a stock 90mm Lightning Mass air meter, will only work with a STOCK 90mm Lightning MAF. Pulley 90mm MAF 87 octane: tune for 87 octane, pulley (max 13-14psi), calibrated for a stock 90mm Lightning mass air meter, will only work with a STOCK 90mm Lightning MAF. 91 octane: tune for 91 octane and stock pulley. Note: The 90mm tunes are only available for 99-00 Lightning models as they came with the smaller MAF. A Predator equipped vehicle will notice significant improvements in drivability. The additional power and improved shift patterns created by the Predator tune will yield quicker acceleration, firmer shifts, better mileage and improved towing characteristics, whether it is in town or out on the highway towing an 8,000 lbs trailer.

The power increase in the lower RPMs will yield a better throttle response; help maintain speeds on inclines and towing. The wider power band that the Predator creates will be particularly noticeable in city driving, where speeds constantly change. The mid-to-upper power increase is extremely useful on the highway when passing slower vehicles and to quickly maneuver out of emergency situations.

The increase in MPG is a byproduct of maximized engine efficiency, the improved timing curve and air/fuel ratio creates a more complete combustion, i.e. the engine extracts more power from each molecule of gasoline.

We have tunes for 87, 91, 93 octane and configured them for different pulleys and boost levels. We took it even one step further and made tunes for the 1999 to 2000 trucks with the stock mass air meter as well as the larger 90mm mass air meter found on the 2001 and up Lightning trucks
