Pop open the hood and prop it up. You will find 8 flush mount plastic rivets, holding the radiator cover to the top of the bumper. These pins are removed by sliding the flat head screw driver under the flush mount head. Remove the 8 pins and then pull of the plastic shield.

Pull the cover off the car.
Radiator Cover Off
Open the plastic clips around the grille by placing your flat head screwdriver under the flap of the clip and pulling back. As you do this push the head of the clip past the flap. This will need to be done all around the grille.
Grille Tabs
Grille Tabs to Pull
Pull the top grille out as you get the tabs pulled. Put a cloth underneath so you do not scratch your paint!
Pull Grille Out
Here you can see the mounting holes the tabs go in.
Grille Tabs Holes
Now move onto the bottom grille. It has the same tab structure as the top grille. Be careful with the lower grille as the tabs are smaller and more delicate than the top grille.
Lower Grille
You also have to pull the air sensor. It will remount in one of those empty tabs now. I got a sharpe marker and colored the sensors white tabs black.
Lower Grille Tabs Holes
Now place the new lower Grille in place and drill pilot holes for the mounting screws. See arrow for location. The Center Hole was not used on the 2011 Mustang.

The only other example on the internet for this install has the top Grille going back on without the stock frame around it. It was done on a black car so you do not notice the gaps so much but for any other colored car I would suggest you reuse the factory grille frame. You start by taking the old grille out of the frame.
Cut Off Tab Keepers
The Pony badge has two nuts you can turn off with a pair of pliers. I chose not to reuse the badge and keep the car less identifiable.

After you pull the old one out then you mount the new one.
OR buy one from www.mrbodykit.com

Note: the screws will also have to go through the bumper frame.

Here is the top billet grille mounted inside the factory grille frame.

Now drill the holes in the bumper and then push the whole unit back into the factory tab slots.

This grille was used because I was slightly disappointed that my stock MCA grille on my 2011 V6 Mustang was made of plastic. But its the same on the more expensive California Special edition also. However I was looking for a delete on the pony emblem and I also wanted the darker look of black, mrbodykit.com does offer this in Chrome too. The 2011 V6 front fascia is quite awesome to start with. Many people are saying it looks better than the GT front fascia. I happen to agree and I think it starts to look a bit like the GT 500 front fascia.
